Description
Elephant seals shed their outer layer of skin and hair once a year, in a process called a catastrophic molt. Our visitor center located in San Simeon, CA has samples of their molt that you can touch. On your next trip to the rookery, come by our visitor center and have a feel for yourself. Another fun fact: male elephant seals can grow to be 5,000 pounds and 16 feet long.
Meanwhile, these fuzzy plush toys are quite a bit softer and smaller than an actual elephant seal. Produced by Wishpets and stuffed with 100% recycled plastic, they sure are excellent companions and are a perfect size for a perfect travel companion and they are available in two sizes (8 “,12”).
