Gray Whale Migration Route

Gray whales make one of the longest round-trip migrations of any mammal, along 5,000-7,000 miles of coast. The Arctic seas provide seasonal abundance of food and the warmer waters off Baja provide a nurturing climate for giving birth. The migration each direction closely follows the coast line from Baja, along the North American coast, through the Bering Sea to their feeding grounds and return.
